Users
Users are an optional layer of Keues to control who can access each counter and keep a record of who performs each action.
Users are optional
Section titled “Users are optional”Keues works without creating any user. You can deploy the system, create locations, counters, queues and flows, and issue tickets with no account created at all.
The devices (ticket machine, monitor and counter) work exactly the same without users. You only need accounts if you want access control or traceability.
What they are for
Section titled “What they are for”- Access control: restrict which users can operate each counter.
- Traceability: know who called, transferred, served or cancelled every ticket.
- Organization: each user belongs to a location and can be grouped into groups.
User fields
Section titled “User fields”| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Name of the person or account. |
| Used to sign in and to recover the password. | |
| Password | Access credential. |
| Location | Location the user belongs to. |
| Enabled | A user can be disabled without deleting it: they can no longer sign in, but their history is kept. |
User groups
Section titled “User groups”Groups bundle several users together so permissions can be assigned to all of them at once. A group has:
- Name to identify it in the dashboard.
- Color to tell it apart at a glance.
- Location it belongs to.
- Users that make it up.
Counter access
Section titled “Counter access”Each counter can have authorized users and groups. If a user without access tries to operate a counter, the action is denied. This way you decide who works at each desk.
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”On first launch the first administrator of the system is created (see Installation). From then on:
- The administrator can create, edit, enable or disable users and groups.
- Each user signs in with their email and password.
- If SMTP email is configured, the password can be recovered by email.
